Sonnet announces its ssd pci
Sonnet has announced its new PCI-Express format SSD Tempo with a capacity of 512 GB and a much higher performance than traditional SSDs in SATA III format.
The new Sonnet Tempo SSD is based on a PCI-E format PCB, to which an M.2 format SSD module has been added to offer an impressive data transfer rate of 1100 MB / s, far exceeding the speeds that achieved with the SATA III standard, it is even faster than two SATA III SSDS in Raid 0 mode.
Thanks to its small form factor it can be installed on any computer with a PCI-E x4 slot, be it a PC or a Mac Pro system. It also supports the Thunderbolt interface through a PCI-E adapter such as the Echo Express line from Sonnet herself.
It is compatible with OS X 10.8.5+ (including Yosemite), Microsoft Windows 8, 7, Windows Server 2012 and 2008 operating systems. It is priced at $ 799.
