The destination chosen by the brand for this new production is Thailand. Production costs in the country are much lower, so it will allow the company to have more possibilities of obtaining benefits in this way.

As until now, they continue to trust third parties for the production of their phones. Only now they choose a factory in Thailand as the place where they will be produced.

We do not know yet when the first Sony smartphones to be produced in this new factory will be ready. It should be shortly, as the brand's new phones are expected to arrive in the spring. But we will see if this change in strategy goes as the company wanted.
