It looks like Raspberry Pi is going to have a tough competitor from now on, with the introduction of SOPINE A64. This new miniPC increases the amount of memory to 2GB of RAM, double what Raspberry Pi 3 offers at practically the same price.

The base model of the SOPINE A64 costs about $ 29, the same price as the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3, which has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage space.

The developer PINE64 confirmed that the SOPINE Model A, which will allow us to mount this module and create and customize our own PC, will cost around 9.99 dollars. The pack of this module together with the SOPINE A64 will be available for $ 34.99.
