A launch that takes place a year after Steam Link was already released for mobile phones. A clear bet by Valve to increase its presence in this medium.

It is now possible to download Steam Chat on Android and iOS, since the app was launched yesterday in the two app stores officially. Thanks to it we will be able to chat with our friends on Steam. It is allowed to send messages, but we also have the possibility to send videos, GIFS, emojis or attach tweets. It will also be possible to send links to play with a friend that we see online.

The company has commented that not all functions are available in the app. For example, voice chat is not yet available. But they have commented that it is something that will be released in an upcoming update for the app.

Therefore, if you download Steam Chat now, you will see that you still cannot get the most out of it. Valve will leave us shortly with an update in which to have access to these functions in a simple way.
