New information has emerged about 4 new Nvidia graphics cards, with their ID numbers, on which one is explicitly called GTX 1180.

Laptop2Video2Go revealed four new Volta cards, one of them would be the GTX 1180

Laptop2Video2Go has released a list of four Volta IDs graphics cards. One of the entries is even called "GeForce GTX 1180". Apparently this may be a clear indication that the next series used the GeForce 11 nomenclature, although the people at Videocardz have been able to find out that this is perhaps just another rumor.

At least two sources have confirmed (to Videocardz) that those IDs have been known for a long time, but no one is really sure they are real. Laptop2Video2Go is basically the first website to post them. Using 'GTX 1180' would be somewhat unfortunate. It is not real or confirmed, although this is one more indication that the series used this nomenclature, remember that interview with a Lenovo worker.

Beyond this, the news would confirm that there are two GV102 and two GV104 products in production.

The GV102 may well be a model for less demanding applications (perhaps fewer Tensor cores and fewer cores). The GV102GL clearly means that it is a Quadro model based on Volta. Of course, this is not the first Volta Quadro, since we have the Quadro GV100, so this new model should probably be called "Quadro GV102".

  • NVIDIA_DEV.1E07 = "NVIDIA GV102" NVIDIA_DEV.1E3C = "NVIDIA GV102GL" NVIDIA_DEV.1E87 = "NVIDIA GV104" NVIDIA_DEV.1EAB = "NVIDIA GV104M"

The GV104 family has two inputs. The first is 'supposedly' a model of the GeForce GTX 1180, the second would be a portable version.

We are getting closer every day to the announcement of the new generation of Nvidia graphics cards, so this type of news will continue to appear until it becomes official.
