Synology today announced its new NAS FlashStation FS3017 device, characterized by offering storage based on NAND flash memory technology, making it ideal for environments related to data analysis, video processing, virtualization of operating systems and many more tasks that require a high speed of information transfer.

Synology FlashStation FS3017 is the new high-performance NAS geared towards SSD use

The new Synology FlashStation FS3017 team hides inside a powerful and advanced 6-core Intel Xeon processor that is accompanied by 64GB of DDR4 ECC RDIMM memory (expandable up to 512GB), two 10GBase-T ports and support for 10GbE / 25GbE NICs / 40GbE. This ensures that you offer the best possible performance in multitasking scenarios to provide greater flexibility for users. The Synology FlashStation FS3017 uses RAID F1 technology that provides high operating speed while preventing the Raid system from crashing.

All this managed by the advanced NAS DSM operating system, which is responsible for generating 65, 000 backup copies to external servers and includes a virtualization solution compatible with VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, and OpenStack. The FlashStation FS3017 has been the winner of several awards and recognitions during Computex 2016, helping Synology maintain leadership in the sector for the sixth consecutive year.
