We already have with us the new Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB, a full-size chassis that will be the best game room for gaming enthusiasts and advanced customization. Packed with tempered glass, aluminum and above all versatility, these are the details that make this tower one of the best on the market for professional installations. Don't forget about its two gigantic front fans with ARGB lighting and its modular design.
Today we have the opportunity to do this analysis thanks to the transfer of the product by the brand, so, without further delay, let's get started!
Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB technical characteristics
Unboxing and design
We start as always by the Unboxing section and the elements that we find as soon as we make our purchase. The Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB comes in a cardboard box of enormous dimensions and great weight with good of aesthetic sizes.
We can see a color image of the entire open chassis on top of a glossy black background. Along with this, we have information about the compatibility with the main lighting systems on the market and in the side and rear area much more information about the characteristics of this complete tower.
Due to the size, it is relatively complicated to remove it from the box, in it we find a chassis fully protected by two large polyethylene foam molds, as well as a bosa that wraps the entire set. The rest of the elements will come in a box next to the chassis, having in total:
- Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB chassis User manual Screw bag Adapter bag for PSUs, fans and speaker Cables for LED timing and clips Keys to open the side windows
We must say that the number of accessories is quite extensive, and the amount of screw it brings is incredible, comfortably exceeding 100.
As soon as you see it, this tower overflows with quality from all corners, a high-cost chassis, but with greater possibilities than what we are used to and with premium range qualities. Not surprisingly, there is only one chassis in the range of the brand that surpasses this, the View 91, and not exactly in versatility.
At first glance its enormous size stands out, since we are facing a complete tower of measures 580 x 294 x 592 mm and weighing no less than 20.1 Kg. Tempered glass abounds on both sides, front and top, but also aluminum in all its rounded corners and with a brushed finish.
To join the external elements, the brand has used high quality and thick PVC plastic. Its modular design must ensure that nothing breaks when removing its parts. This Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB is available in several versions, depending on the fans you have installed, in our case we have the version of two 200 mm ARGB fans on the front, but there is also a configuration with 3 fans of 120 or 140 mm.
We begin by studying in more detail its left side, the one that shows us the main compartment. In it we have a huge 5mm thick tempered glass mounted on two perfectly removable aluminum rear hinges that give us a tilt-and-turn opening.
But this is not all, since we also have a padlock with a key to block access to the inside of the chassis. If we prefer not to lock it, this door also has a magnet to prevent it from being accidentally opened.
On the right side we also find another huge tempered glass window in the same configuration as the previous one, but a little darkened. The opening and characteristics are identical to that of the other side.
We head to the front of Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB which is completely removable. Its configuration consists of 5mm tempered glass in the central area along with curved brushed aluminum sides. In the lower area we can see a large brand logo printed on the glass. The rest of the fastening elements are made of PVC plastic, although of great quality as we have been able to verify.
Between the glass and the sides, we have a remarkable separation to allow air to pass into the box. On its way, we also find a medium grain dust filter, so the protection will not be total against particles.
Well, we extract this front panel without too much effort to make the entire installation system of fans inside visible. The tower has a width of 294 mm, which gives us the possibility of installing fans of up to 200 mm, which we already have included in it.
These two fans have ARGB (addressable RGB) lighting, they are able to rotate at a maximum of 800 rpm with a noise of 29.2 dB (A). The fans themselves are very quiet, but the noise of the passage of air from the outside to the inside does make itself quite noticeable. Due to the large air flow they generate, the suction gap becomes a little small and the dust screen doesn't help either, so it causes some noise.
We now turn to see the upper area, where we also find tempered glass and brushed aluminum side finishes. This element is also completely removable, and inside it we can install large diameter fans, just like the front one.
If we remove the cover, we will see that there is enough space to install fans in both the upper and interior areas. If we choose a radiator with fans we will have to install it in the interior area according to its thickness. We can see that the entire I / O panel is in an isolated installation of the removable modules so as not to worry about the cables.
Here you can see the two removable covers with the dust filter installed.
Continuing then with the I / O panel, we have it divided into two areas, left and right. In total we will have the following ports and interaction elements:
- 2 USB 3.02 USB 2.01 USB Type-C 3.5mm Jack connector for audio output and hard drive activity microLED input Lighting control button On / off button + indicator LED
Undoubtedly the most interesting thing about the USB Type-C connectivity in this front, the rest is expected.
We went to see the back area, which also has some surprises than others. In general, we see that it has the usual, the area for the port panel of the motherboard, the area of up to 8 expansion slots for E-ATX and the access hole for the power supply. But we also have a pre-installed fan of 140 mm at 1000 rpm and a noise of 16 dB (A), which does not have lighting, but does have very vertical propellers to provide a high output air flow.
The interesting thing about this rear area is that we can remove the panel of expansion slots and place it vertically, to install graphics cards in this position. It is a good idea to customize the position of the graphics card to our liking. Another detail to take into account is that the PSU cannot be inserted through the rear opening, to do so it will have to be inside the chassis or by removing the compartment.
We finish with the Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB analysis with the inner zone. In it we find a huge particle filter to improve the air that enters, both the PSU and a ventilation system that we want to install here, because we can do it as we will see later.
The legs are soft gorma to avoid vibrations and leave a gap with the ground of about 3 cm. We also have a removable sheet in the front radiator installation area to work better with it.
Interior and assembly
We now turn to see the interior of this piece of Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB chassis, and chassis built in premium SPCC steel and with many customization options.
In a first view of the hardware compartment, we find an installation area compatible with E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini ITX motherboards. We also have a front area full of rails and perforations to freely modify the component installation configuration, which includes two fully removable hard drive rack modules.
We also do not miss the protective rubbers of the main cable routers nor a PSU compartment with PVC window and fully removable.
We take advantage of these racks to talk about the possibilities we have in terms of installing hard drives. These racks will allow us to install up to 4 disks of 2.5 "or 3.5" in a removable and modular way. To this we add the two metal adapters that we see there to install 2.5 ”discs, fully removable and that we can place them where it best suits us. In the rear there is also room for a few more mounts with a couple of removable plates and plenty of perforations.
In total we will have space for 10 2.5 "discs or in your case, 7 3.5" discs, so the possibilities are enormous.
This does not end here, Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB features a vertical mounting system of up to 2 graphics cards up to 3 slots thick above the PSU compartment on movable rails, although it does not include a riser cable.
We will also have enough space to mount CPU coolers up to 200mm high and graphics cards up to 410mm with HDD racks uninstalled, or 310mm with these installed.
A final consideration that it makes is that the PSU is not easy to install. To do this, we will have to remove one of the racks and put it inside, or remove the compartment from it, place it, and then put it on. It is not the easiest system of course, although if we want to mess around we are going to have a good time.
We now turn to see the possibilities of installing fans and cooling, which are undoubtedly very extensive. Let's see them then.
Support for ventilation:
- Front: 3x 120mm, 3x 140mm, 2x 200mm (included) Top: 3 × 120mm, 3x 140mm, 2x 200mm Rear: 1x 120mm, 1x 140mm (included) Bottom: 2x 120mm
Impressive, with two pieces of 200mm fans included we don't need any more. The possibility of placing these both outside and inside, offers us many possibilities.
Cooling bracket:
- Front: 120/140/180/240/280/360/420 mm or 360 compatible with 200 mm fans Right (where the HDD rack is): 120/140/240/280/420 mm Upper: 120/140/180 / 240/280/360 mm or 360 mm compatible with 200 mm fans Rear: 120/140 mm Bottom: 120/240 mm
Many possibilities as we expected, do not worry about the smaller AIOs because they can also be placed on the front and upper area, and of course custom loops. We can also separate radiator and fans to position ourselves as we like indoors / outdoors, for that precisely are the plates that comes in the accessory box.
The space for wiring will not be a problem in this Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB, since we have a lot in the rear area for it. What we do miss, is a larger gap to pass the PSU cables from one area to another, since there is only one, and hiding all the cables behind is quite limited.
This chassis has a microcontroller for fans capable of synchronizing with Asus Aura Sync, Gigabytre RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync and AsRock Polychrome with 5V header with the respective expensive brand software.
The assembly has been very clean and we have a lot of space to play with the hardware. The only slightly more awkward aspect would be installing the PSU and routing the cables to the rear panel.
The end result is excellent, and with the RGB control button we will have many customization options and animations
Final words and conclusion about Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB
This Thermaltake Level 20 GT ARGB is one of the funniest chassis in terms of possibilities and installation we've touched on. A huge space to work, that with time and imagination (and money) we can assemble an impressive and totally personalized team. The possibilities are enormous for almost any type of hardware, fan and cooling.
The design is one of its strengths, with 5 mm thick glass on four of its six faces and brushed aluminum corners, they form a truly excellent Premium package. It is a fully modular chassis and very easy to assemble and disassemble.

One of its strengths is the compatibility with all types of cooling AIO and high-end custom loop systems in up to 5 different zones. In addition, we have two pre-installed 200mm fans and one 140mm rear, which make it a chassis not too quiet, but with top-notch cooling.
If we must remove a defect from this chassis, it is the PSU installation process, which is a bit cumbersome if it is very large. The enormous measures of this chassis also make it very heavy, we are talking about more than 20 Kg empty, but it is something that is already known.
The price of this box stands at 300 euros, Thermaltake is not one of the cheapest manufacturers that we can find, but we must bear in mind that the materials are of the highest quality, and it is a complete tower for professional assemblies. In short, it is a first class product.
