Thermaltake has announced the new 80 Plus Bronze certified Thermaltake Smart BX1 RGB and Smart BX1 series of power supplies available in 450W, 550W, 650W and 750W maximum power outputs. Both series are available with two different input voltage settings, 100-240V and only 230V. We tell you all the details.

Thermaltake Smart BX1 RGB and Smart BX1

The Thermaltake Smart BX1 RGB series is equipped with a 120mm RGB fan, with hydraulic bearing and 10 RGB LEDs that allow you to have three lighting modes, seven color options and an LED off mode, if you get too tired of the color. In the product, in addition to a button dedicated to RGB lighting, there is also a memory function to remember the last lighting mode chosen before turning off the PC.

The Asian company uses premium Japanese-made capacitors to ensure stability through a single + 12V channel. Thermaltake also talks about stable and continuous power output. The + 12V channel has a maximum ripple of 80mV, while the + 5V and + 3.3V channels stop at 40mV for loads from 0 to 100%. These are values below Intel's ripple levels of 120mV at + 12V and 50mV at + 5V and + 3.3V. This low voltage ripple allows hardware to operate reliably longer. They offer a single 4 + 4-pin EPS connector and two 6 + 2-pin PCIe, except for the 750W model which has four 6 + 2-pin PCIe.

Both series are covered by a 5 year warranty. Prices have not been announced, so we will have to wait a bit. What do you think of these Thermaltake Smart BX1?
