On a day of many rumors, the widely rumored AMD Threadripper 3000 received PCI-SIG certification last August 23, according to sources. This entry confirms PCIe 4.0 compatibility with AMD's new HEDT platform, now yes, natively. Meanwhile, Benchlife suggests that the third-generation AMD Threadripper may arrive in November.

More clues emerge about Threadripper 3000, TRX40 chipset, GTX 1660 SUPER

AMD confirmed that Threadripper 3000 is a reality, but we don't have a release date yet.

MSI TRX40 motherboards running

In another order of things, last week we reported on two ASUS TRX40 motherboards. Today, MSI has shipped two motherboards to the EEC, both with the TRX40 chipset, which has yet to be announced. This chipset is believed to be one of three variants of the upcoming Threadripper 3000 series.

MSI is planning the TRX40 PRO 10G and TRX40 PRO WIFI models. The PRO series is generally considered the mid-range of MSI motherboards. That being said, we are still awaiting confirmation from the MPG and MEG series.

ECS H470 motherboard

The first entries for the Intel 400 series motherboard are now available on the SiSoftware website. For some reason, ECS motherboards are usually the first to appear in any leak, sometimes even months before the official announcement. However, this leak should come as no surprise to anyone, as ECS has already officially confirmed that these chipsets are slated for the first quarter of 2020.

GTX 1660 SUPER and GTX 1650 Ti

It seems that new variants are finally being released within the GTX 16 series. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER and GTX 1650 Ti are rumored to be rolling out.

According to the MyDrivers report, NVIDIA plans to introduce the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER and GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPUs at the same time that AMD plans to launch the Radeon RX 5600 series (believed to be a Navi 14 GPU).

The GTX 1660 SUPER is said to offer GDDR6 memory instead of GDDR5, but the number of CUDA cores for the SUPER and non-SUPER variant would remain the same.

Furthermore, the GTX 1650 Ti will reportedly offer 1024 or 1152 CUDA cores. We believe that both graphics cards could be announced in the coming weeks, where NVIDIA will try to get strong in the mid and low range of graphics cards.
