Unboxing and design

As usual, the ThunderX3 TGC12 chair comes completely disassembled in a very large cardboard box, once we open the box we see that all the pieces are very well arranged and protected by bags and pieces of very good quality foam. Of course, all the accessories and tools that we will need to assemble the product are included.

Inside the box we find the following pieces:

The star is the piece on which the rest will be mounted, therefore it is essential that its quality is adequate so that it can withstand all the weight of the chair itself and the user. This chair includes a very robust metal star so there will be no problem. Each point of the star has a hole in which we will have to introduce one of the five nylon wheels that are attached. In the center of the star we place the cylinder with the gas piston and its trim. This is how the star is once the wheels and cylinder are mounted:

The next assembly step is to join the seat and the backrest using the four long screws next to the washers, the seat has a metal joint on which we will screw the backrest, this joint is controlled with a small lever and will serve to power tilt the backrest to a maximum of 90º, this is one of the key points of this chair. In the lower part of the backrest, the armrests are attached, although these are already assembled from the factory so we will not have to do anything. Once the seat and back are joined, we only have to place the two trims to hide the joint and the screws, these are fixed with the two smaller screws.

Once the seat and back are joined, we have to attach the butterfly-shaped metal mounting part to the seat that is used to connect the assembly to the cylinder with the gas piston, we can place this part now or before joining the seat and the backrest, this already as you find it more comfortable. To fix it we just have to use the four short screws that are attached and the allen key. This mounting piece includes a lever that is the one that we will use to regulate the height of the chair in a very comfortable way. The piece has a small mark that indicates the orientation so that we do not put it backwards, this mark will go towards the front of the chair.

The backrest and seat of the ThunderX3 TGC12 have an enormous quality, as you can see we have the version in red and black that looks very nice and will be your favorite if you are on the dark side of the force ? The chair is available in other colors such as blue, green, orange, white and completely black. In all cases the base design is the same. We can see that the backrest has two large holes in the upper area and the brand logo. The upholstery is diamond shaped and very attractive, although this is already completely objective. Both the seat and the backrest are made of the highest quality nylon to last us a long time.

ThunderX3 TGC12 includes two cushions to improve comfort, one of them goes in the lower area of the backrest and the other in the upper-middle area.
