Do you want to refrigerate to the fullest? There are several types of cooling liquids that you should consider. Inside, we analyze them all. Which do you choose?
There is no doubt that the world of liquid cooling can be very complex. Not only is it enough to buy the necessary components, but you have to consider certain factors. Among these, we find the types of cooling liquids, which are essential for our circuit to function properly. Let's look at them and analyze them. Let's start!

Types of coolants
First of all, let us tell you that we are referring to custom refrigerations, not AIO kits. That said, there are several types of cooling liquids that we will analyze, as well as drawing conclusions about them.
We recommend that you read all of them because you may be interested in changing the type of liquid.
Distilled or pure water
We refer to distilled or bi-distilled water. That is, we are interested in the water being super pure, that it has passed several filters. It is used because it is the cheapest option and because dyes can be used to get a colored kit.
Here we are interested in water having as few particles as possible to avoid problems. Similarly, we will have to use biocides or anti algae to deter fungi and bacteria, which may appear. Many gurus use silver to prevent this outflow of micro-organisms.
We can see pure transparent water liquids, as semi-transparent. We recommend EK and Mayhems for these.
Normal water
Avoid normal water because it contains salt and lime. In addition, it can contain fungi and bacteria, even in small amounts. As for the latter, think that we will put these (or these) in a closed circuit in which we are not interested in the presence of any microorganism.
It is these same conditions that make them reproduce and are detrimental to our liquid cooling. Due to fungus, the blocks can become blocked or corroded, such as dirtying the water. An option not recommended .
Biodegradable liquids
From experience, it is one of the safest types of liquid cooling liquids that exist because they do not cause any reaction. Of course, we will have to use biocides and protectors to avoid corrosion. Normally, they are transparent, but colored liquids.
Regarding its format, we find them mixed or prepared to mix with pure or distilled water.
Particulate liquids
A priori, they are not recommended for their density. Thus, on any computer that is in daily operation is not recommended.
This density is a long-term problem because sediment is created. As with cholesterol in the arteries, this type of fluid solidifies on the walls of the tubes, causing less fluid to pass through them. With the passage of time comes catastrophic failure.
Surely you are wondering why do they sell? Mainly due to their appearance, which leads to their being used in showrooms or demonstrations. Once the show is over, they are no longer used.
Plexi liquids
Every time we find less this type of liquids, so we are only going to make a point. They are liquids that are based on plexi, a deteriorating compound. With this deterioration comes the cracks in the tubes, eventually bursting them, producing the famous “ fissures ”.
Do not buy this type of liquids because they are a thing of the past and they will not bring you anything good.
WE RECOMMEND YOU AORUS Liquid Cooler: the brand new AIO liquid coolersConclusions
Analyzed the different types of liquid from liquid refrigeration, you will have observed that there are fluids that you should not buy, like others that are advisable. In short, the liquids that are used the most in custom kits are distilled water and ink, such as biodegradable ones.
That said, these two types of liquids require maintenance in the same way. Therefore, it is not about installing and forgetting about our refrigeration, but we will have to use corrosion protectors and biocides.
Finally, to tell you that we recommend you consult our article on galvanic corrosion so that you can see the effects that can occur when we mix metals.
