HTC increases its range of mid-range smartphones with the imminent arrival in Europe of the HTC Desire 500 with the label of "quality / price" and inheriting characteristics of superior models.

Its design is minimalist and incorporates the two capacitive buttons to navigate the Android 4.2 operating system (identical to the control system of the HTC One), HTC Sense and HTC BlinkFeed.

Technical characteristics

Its dimensions 13.18 × 6.69 × 0.99 cm and its weight of 123 grams make it an ergonomic and very manageable smarpthone. It includes a 4.3-inch WCGA screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, which although it is not FullHD, is very comfortable to navigate.

Its processor is the Snapdragon 200 quad-core 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory (ROM) expandable up to 64GB by the microSD slot, MicroSIM and 8MP main camera with the HTC ImageChip chip and a f / 2.0 28mm lens allowing us to capture fast images and videos at 720p while on the front we have a 1.6 Megapixel camera.

Its battery is somewhat scarce with 1800 mAh, offering us an autonomy of up to 14 hours approximately.

Price and availability.

The terminal will have three designs to choose from: totally black, white and turquoise and white and red. It is estimated that it will arrive during this month of August and will be available by the most important operators: Movistar, Vodafone, Orange and Yoigo. Until now the sale price is unknown.
