Everything about the htc one max: technical characteristics, availability and price

Anonim

HTC One Max, the first phablet of the Taiwanese company comes to the market after many rumors related to it, such as that it would come to the market with the quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro @ 1.7 GHz processor, as it has finally been, compared to the Snapdragon 800 used by its main competitors. This terminal is expected to be announced at CES 2014, one of the most important fairs in the world that will take place in January of next year in the city of Las Vegas.

Technical characteristics

This processor reveals that it is not a terminal as powerful as could be expected, since it will have to deal with a 5.9-inch screen (the largest so far by HTC) under a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (density of 373 ppi) accompanied by the long-awaited fingerprint sensor (something we already saw in Apple's iPhone5S) just below the rear camera, 2 GB of RAM and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system with a Sense 5.5 interface.

The rest of the features are common to the HTC One normal version. Therefore, it has a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor model Krait 300 at a frequency of 1.7 GHz. The RAM memory of this terminal amounts to 2 GB and its internal storage is 16 or 32 GB depending on the model we choose. However, this memory is expandable thanks to microSD cards. It is also provided as its predecessor by a 300 mAh battery.

As for its camera, not only does it not present an improvement over the normal HTC one version, but it also loses some stability in its optimization, which is reflected in a lower image quality. It has two lenses: an Ultra-pixel rear and a 2.1-megapixel front.

We can not leave connectivity behind since, in addition to having compatibility with 4G or LTE, it also has the latest wireless connection standard, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac.

Availability and price

Apparently, for the moment the priority of the HTC company is to market it only in European and Asian countries, with the US market taking a back seat, to the smallest for this terminal. This makes us indicate that

According to the latest rumors, the HTC One Max could surpass the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Iphone 5 in price, with which it competes directly, leading to a very high price of $ 833, (about 600 euros). Of course a lot… How far will we go?

While in China they could have a little more luck, since there is talk of the marketing of a pack that would include accessories plus an HTC One Mini for about 700 euros, which is, of course, a high cost within the reach of very few.
