Toshiba MG08 gets RAID and HBA support

These hard drives are compatible with Adaptec host adapters (HBAs) as well as Redundant Array of Independent Disk (RAID) adapters. As a result, companies using Adaptec Smart Storage adapters were able to install Toshiba's 16TB drives.

The tests confirmed the compatibility of the MG08 line with the SATA models MG08ACA16TE (block of 512 bytes) and MG08ACA16TA (block of 4 kilobytes), as well as with products with the SAS interface: MG08SCA16TE (512) and MG08SCA16TA (4k).

Tests on the MG08 units included the Adaptec HBA 1100 series HBA adapters and the Adaptec SmartRAID 3100 RAID adapters, among other previous models. Long-term stability has been confirmed by extensive testing by Microchip. In this way, MG08 hard drives can be included in the list of Microchip compatible products.
