It has been a topic of discussion for many, MLC, TLC, QLC, but the holy grail regarding resistance is still the NAND write SLC, which is nevertheless expensive. Well, Trancend is releasing a 100% SLC write M.2 SSD with great data rewrite ability.

Trancend Launches High-Durability SLC M.2 SSD With 100, 000 Rewrites

The number of data rewrites is 100, 000 times, which is 32 times higher than the average for your “BiCS4” products. In addition, quality has been improved by producing high-quality FGT DRAM cache manufactured by leading companies and part at Trancend's own factories in Taiwan.

It is ideal for applications with high write frequency, such as servers, medical equipment, monitoring systems, and terminals. The capacity line is available in three models: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The transfer rate offered by these SSDs is 560MB / sec for sequential read, 420MB / sec for write, 56, 000 IOPS for random read, and 75, 000 IOPS for write.

The read and write speeds are surprising to use an M.2 interface, that is, they are very low, but this is compensated by their TBW numbers. The write resistance is 3, 600 TB for the 64 GB model, 7, 200 TB for the 128 GB model and 14, 400 TB for the 256 GB model. These resistances are far superior to those of any conventional SSD that we can find in stores.
