Transcend is following in the footsteps of Samsung and Micron by adopting the successful 3D NAND memory technology to deliver SSD storage drives at very competitive prices and remarkable features. The new Transcend SSD230 seeks to offer a low cost alternative while maintaining the high performance of SSD devices.

The new Transcend SSD230s come available with capacities of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB to meet the needs of a large number of users. With these features, the Transcend SSD230 is capable of sequential read and write rates of 560 MB / s and 520 MB / s in the 512 GB capacity model. The read speed is maintained in the 128GB and 256GB models, although the write speed drops to 300MB / s in the 128GB model. If we look at its 4K random performance we obtain a maximum figure of 87, 000 IOPS in reading and writing that is reduced to 30, 000 / 76, 000 IOPS in the 128 GB model. All of them have a 3-year warranty and will arrive at prices of approximately 50 euros, 80 euros and 160 euros.
