Although a few other games similar to Theme Hospital came out since the late Bullfrog launched it in 1997, none have been successful nor have been the spiritual successor to this game. Two Point Hospital is possibly that game that will help us forget the legendary Theme Hospital.
Two Point Hospital will launch later this year on Steam
Two Point Hospital is published by SEGA and is scheduled for release later this year for PC. Like the Bullfrog game, it is a hospital simulator, but always maintaining the touch of humor that characterized the 1997 classic.
This is not the only hospital themed simulator. As early as last November, independent studio Oxymoron Games announced Project Hospital, its own direct version of the genre.
Two Point Hospital, however, has two key developers who were in the original Theme Hospital. These are Mark Webley and Gary Carr, who created the independent studio Two Point Studios, who are now working on this game to be published by SEGA.
