Ubuntu 16.04 project leader Martin Wimpress today announced the general availability of the Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system.

Having been in development for the past six months, Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS debuted today as part of the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS operating system for PCs and for Raspberry Pi 2 and 3 motherboards. Main new features of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
