The popular speaker brand Ultimate Ears has recently announced the launch of two new speakers. These are the Boom 3 and Megaboom 3 models, portable, with resistance to water and shocks, with a new fabric that covers them (originally designed for motorcycle jackets and fire fighting equipment), compatibility with Apple Music lists and with a Magic Button at the top that makes it easy to control the playback controls.

Boom 3 and Megaboom 3, the newest from Ultimate Ears

The new speakers announced by Ultimate Ears (a company acquired by the also prestigious Logitech) are offered in a new two-tone fabric that covers them and new colors. In its design, it stands out that the rubber band that runs through them from top to bottom has been moved to the back, allowing it to offer a better 360-degree sound, as Juli Clever points out from MacRumors.

Dust and water resistance have also been improved, with an IP67 certification, so they are still perfect speakers to take to the beach, the pool or in the rain.

Regarding its autonomy, the Boom 3 has a battery of up to 15 hours on a single charge, while the Megaboom 3 reaches 20 hours.

One of its highlights is that Magic Button located at the top, allowing you to control playback beyond increasing / reducing volume of the previous generation.

Also, in combination with the new UE BOOM application, the “magic button” allows both models to play playlists, being able to import up to four Apple Music playlists: a long press activates your lists, a second long press jumps to the next list; pressing it turns the speaker on, while a second press stops it. And with a double press you jump to the next song.

The new Megaboom 3 and BOOM 3 will be available from September in the United States and some countries in Europe and Asia. In Spain, the BOOM 3 starts at € 155.00 while the Megaboom 3 is priced from € 209.99. Apple will exclusively sell both speakers in two different shades of blue.
