If there was something missing from the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti it was that one of its graphics cards burned fully operational. The case was reported by a user (shansoft) on the Hardocp forums, who was 'scared to death', according to the same comment, when a flare started to come from one of the sides of the graphics card.

Interestingly, the graphics card is not the Founder Edition model, which are the ones that were originally failing, but the EVGA 2080 Ti XC model. This was what user 'shansoft' commented on the forums, along with some photos posted there.

Well, luckily no one came out with first-degree burns, nor has the poor boy's house been burned down. The question is what could have caused the card to suddenly catch fire if it wasn't even running a game or the like?

Either way, it is just a case and we cannot generalize, but everything that happens around the RTX 2080 Ti in recent times gives food for thought about the quality control that Nvidia is doing with its flagship product.
