Userbenchmark adjusts its cpus ranking and benefits intel
Table of contents:
- Userbenchmark modifies its CPU rankings, benefiting Intel's chips and harming AMD
- Userbenchmark has responded and confirmed the change, which now benefits Intel processors:
Userbenchmark is a performance and component comparison database, mostly for novice users to find out which hardware would be best by placing a direct comparison between models.
Userbenchmark modifies its CPU rankings, benefiting Intel's chips and harming AMD
When classified based on a CPU 'speed range'. You can see that the top 5 spots are dominated by Intel products. This in itself is not really the whole story, as we have to go a little deeper to understand what really happened. UserBenchmark has changed the rules on how CPUs are represented in calculating their speed range.
Userbenchmark has responded and confirmed the change, which now benefits Intel processors:
Here you can see that the previous classification was divided with 60% of the score being quad-core level performance tests, while the single-core is divided by 30% and more than the quad-core one labeled " multicore ”, which is 10%. Now we move to the right and find that the score has been adjusted as follows. Quad-core level performance drops to 58%, single-core performance jumps to 40%, while multi-core performance drops to a mere 2%.

Here we see a comparison between a Core i5 9600KF and a Ryzen 3900X. Both work at virtually the same clock speed, only the AMD variant has 12 cores and 24 threads, no less. According to UserBenchmark, an i5 9600KF is better than a Ryzen 9 3900X. That is not right by any means.
That is why, if you want to find reliable performance results from any processor, visit sites that perform qualified analysis, it is the best advice we can give.
