Therefore, we have seen how there have been many fake games circulating online. And many are marketed using fake cartridges, something that forces the company to take action. The reason is that each Nintendo Switch cartridge has an assigned ID, thanks to which the user is identified when using online functions of said game. This verifies if the cartridge is original or not.

So the origin of it can be detected quite easily. And this has happened with these users. Since their cartridges were not original, their accounts have been permanently blocked. It seems that online functions also, although this is not known if this is the case in all cases.
