Ultrastar DC HC530 is a 14TB CMR drive that offers ease-of-use simplicity for random write workloads in enterprise and cloud data centers. Since 2014, the company's exclusive proprietary HelioSeal process has sealed helium in the unit to provide unmatched capacity, exceptional energy efficiency, and long-term reliability of the data center. These disks will be available on SAS and SATA interfaces. In the SAS version it will have a 12 Gb / s interface and in SATA about 6 Gb / s.
The Ultrastar DC HC530 14TB Hard Drive is currently being shipped to select customers.
