Whatsapp will not have dark mode at the moment

Many applications on Android are betting on dark mode today. A few weeks ago it was learned that WhatsApp was working to also introduce this mode officially. It was hoped that it would arrive shortly in the messaging application. But there seems to have been a change of plans, as this dark mode has been removed for no apparent reason.

A radical change by the company, which at the moment has no reasonable explanation. But it seems that we will have to wait longer for the dark mode.

I don't know why WhatsApp has abandoned the dark mode for Android.

They removed every reference in the 2.19.123 update, but I wanted to wait another beta to be sure.. and no tracks of it in the 2.19.124 update too..

Maybe they will develop it again using a different approach.

No dark mode at the moment

As far as we can tell, the app's two most recent betas show that there is no clue in this dark mode. So far no explanation has been given in this regard. At the end of March it was revealed that WhatsApp was working in the dark mode officially and that it was expected to arrive this year. Just over a month later, the situation is totally different.

It is not ruled out that the company wants to bet on a different way of introducing this dark mode. Although so far nothing is known about it. All we know is that this mode has disappeared, for now.

Therefore, we will have to wait to see what happens with this dark mode on WhatsApp. It seems strange that they have decided to remove it entirely suddenly. Probably in a few weeks there will be more news about the plans of the application. But it seems that we will have to wait longer for this mode to arrive.
