Windows 10 anniversary reduces the time to return to the previous system

The Windows 10 anniversary update has arrived and is all the good it promised, although there are aspects that give rise to controversy. Microsoft seems desperate for people to switch to Windows 10 and nobody could blame them for that, the issue is the methods.

Gone are the days where Microsoft almost forced users of previous operating systems to upgrade to Windows 10, once the grace period ended and the arrival of the Anniversary Update was finished, all this seemed to be history but we were wrong.

Before the aforementioned anniversary update, Windows 10 allowed all users to return to the previous operating system while keeping the settings intact. This 'go back' option was enabled for 30 days after the installation of the system but with the arrival of Anniversary Update this time is drastically reduced. From now on we will only have about 10 days to return to the operating system that we had installed before.

Microsoft reduces the possibility of going back to 10 days

Microsoft went on to explain why this measure: “Based on our research, we saw that most users who choose to go back to an earlier version of Windows do so in the first days after the update. Therefore, we decided to change the time frame to 10 days to free up the disk space occupied by the previous copies ” .

The explanation makes sense but if it is only for a matter of space , shouldn't they let the user decide that instead of imposing a period of time to return to the previous system? Why can't I go back when I want? The question is answered alone, because they want users to stay on Windows 10.
