Microsoft is preparing everything for the release of the next big free update to Windows 10 build 14328, which they have named the Anniversary Update. This update will bring with it some interesting novelties to the operating system, almost all on an aesthetic level and with extra functionalities to make life easier for users of this operating system that is on its way to its first year of life.

Windows 10 build 14328

Let's take a quick look at what's new in this update for Windows 10.

Windows 10 Start Menu

The start menu will now bring a novelty and that is that the applications will be shown in several columns to avoid endless scrolls when searching for the applications we want. The other important addition to the start menu are the buttons that have been added to the left side, which give us quick access to functions such as shutdown and restart or to the system options, something very useful.

Notification Center and Clock

The notification center has been extended to make it more functional and not to go unnoticed (like now). It will show more information with support for images and rich text. The clock will also undergo changes for the better, in addition to showing the time and the calendar, it will also show the next appointments that we have assigned in the aforementioned calendar.

Control Panel

In the control panel, an option has been added called "Projecting to this PC" (in English) with which we can use our Windows Phone with our PC, a security PIN will be required to do so. In addition, the option to change the order of the quick actions of the notification center or remove those that are not interesting was added.

Following the new control panel, the possibility of " resetting " Universal App applications (which are downloaded from the store) was added in case they are not working correctly.

Another function that many will appreciate is being able to delete temporary Windows files, such as pending updates or previous " builds ", at this point it is noted that Microsoft is listening to the community.

Other changes

There will also be changes in the options menu and in Cortana, where new ways of creating reminders, more multi-device options and more ease of use will be implemented as Cortana does not need to be configured. In Windows Ink we will also see another function such as Sticky Notes , to be able to paste all the reminders we want on the Windows 10 desktop.

As you can see, this free update to Windows 10 build 14328 comes to respond to some complaints from the community and the changes that are seen are logical and improve the operating system, although personally, nothing is said about the drop in performance of the system with few weeks of use and that takes much longer to start than Windows 7. Anniversary Update is expected in July. What do you think of these new improvements? Do you see them important?
