Windows 10 build 14986 available in slow ring

Microsoft has already made Windows 10 build 14986 available in the slow ring of its Insider Program. This build belongs to the branch Creators Update (Redstone 2) that brings a lot of news and that we will summarize in this article.

Cortana improvements

Microsoft continues to work on Cortana and to make it increasingly useful with new voice commands. Now you can ask Cortana to turn off your computer, lock, restart and hibernate. You can also ask him to turn the volume down or up.

Another addition is the possibility of controlling the audio reproduction in certain applications (only available in English at the moment). The applications enabled in this build are iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio. We can indicate that it plays a song, artist or album, also a specific radio frequency by voice.

We can also ask Cortana what song is playing at the moment, this is compatible with any music player

Improved printing

Microsoft cares about business and improves detection of printers connected to Azure Active Directory.

Improvements in Windows Ink

Previous screen sketches can now be resumed. Also improved the preview of the pencils and tools that we use in Ink Flyout, such as the thickness of the path and the chosen color.

Now when we are drawing, the cursor will no longer appear, achieving a more realistic experience.

New Windows Defender Panel

Windows antivirus is updated with a new panel, this new panel is not final and is still under development.

The narrator

Microsoft doesn't forget about Narrator and adds improvements to it. Now the tool will get more information about the fonts, colors, margins and more by pressing the Caps Lock + F keys. Also, by pressing the Caps Lock + F keys we will be able to go through the nine different categories.
