X2 launches its new Spartan chassis and ATX semi-tower. Unlike typical ATX semi-tower gearboxes, the Spartan uses a dual-chamber design. This allows the support of a complete ATX motherboard at a height typically reserved for micro-ATX chassis.

X2 Launches Compact ATX Gaming Chassis

The Spartan only measures 340 x 226 x 340 mm, and has room for two 3.5 ″ and two 2.5 ″ units. The left camera is for power and cables. Meanwhile, the right side camera is where an inverted ATX motherboard is installed.

The X2 Spartan is also designed for video game use, so it has enough free space for graphics cards up to 280mm in length. The maximum height of the CPU cooler heatsink is up to 160mm. For those who prefer liquid cooling, the chassis also supports radiators up to 240mm in the front.

Users can also install two 120mm fans to 'suck in air', while an 80mm fan handles exhaust tasks at the rear. This may seem small, but having the power supply and cables separated should minimize the heat a bit. It also helps keep cable management neat in the main camera on the motherboard.

How much does the X2 Spartan case cost?

The Spartan has a retail price of just € 49.99 and even comes with a tempered glass side panel. Although for this price, it does not come with a pre-installed fan.
