Xbox scorpio will be backward compatible with xbox 360

One of the big problems of video game consoles is usually the incompatibility with the machines of previous generations, something that on the other hand some manufacturers take advantage of to resell the same titles under the new platform with a simple facelift at best, what is known as refried. Microsoft has been more in favor of backward compatibility in the current generation and we already know that Xbox Scorpio will be compatible with Xbox 360 games.

Xbox Scorpio bets on backward compatibility

Microsoft has started its commitment to backward compatibility with the Xbox One and will continue with it, so that users of the new generation platform will be able to run Xbox 360 games, at least a large number of them if not everyone. A decision that is not surprising given the good reception the measure has had in its predecessor the Xbox One.

For now very little is known about Xbox Scorpio and almost nothing officially, what we do know is that the new console will have a vast catalog on its arrival on the market by being able to run Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. Users will be able to enjoy from the first minute a large number of classics, among which we can mention the Halo, Gears of War and Forza sagas among many more.

Microsoft assures that Scorpio will be the best video game console ever created, and that it will allow gaming at native 4K resolution and high-fidelity virtual reality, we will see if it does not remain in simple promises. Rumors suggest that it will mount an AMD custom processor with eight Zen cores and a powerful GPU with a power of 6 TFLOPs
