Xiaomi mi notebook air now available with a core i5 kaby lake

Xiaomi has released a new variant of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air that has the same 12.5-inch screen as the previously released Mi Notebook Air, but the hardware is different.

The previous variant was powered by an Intel Core M3 processor, while the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is powered by a seventh-generation Core i5 processor alongside 4GB of RAM and 256GB of high-speed SSD storage. The laptop is sold in one color, silver, and is available only in the Chinese market so far.

In terms of display, the 12.5-inch Notebook Air variant achieves a FullHD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a viewing angle of 170 degrees. The screen brightness peaks at 300nits, a contrast ratio of 600: 1, and an aspect ratio of 16: 9. The Mi Notebook runs on Windows 10 Home Edition and is powered by a set of seventh generation Intel Core i5 processors that is combined with an Intel HD 615 graphics accelerator, 4 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable SSD memory even more using a hard drive.

The Notebook Air gets a 1 megapixel front camera with support for 720p video calls. Xiaomi has stated that the new Mi Notebook Air lasts up to 8 hours of online video playback, 7.5 hours of local video playback and 7.5 hours of web browsing. In terms of connectivity, it offers USB type C ports, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, and 4G.
