Xiaomi yi action: technical characteristics, availability and price

Anonim

From the most basic information, it has been confirmed that Xiaomi Yi Action has a ¼ ”female thread. This means the camera can be mounted directly to tripods, quick release plates, monopods, selfie sticks etc. without having to use it on a cover or with an adapter.

The 1/4 ″ female thread allows the camera to be attached to Monopods etc. Looking at the back of the Xiaomi Yi Action camera we see that it has the same slot for MicroSD, mini USB and micro HDMI ports . It is conspicuous by its absence, however, an expansion port allows accessories such as the LCD BacPac touch or the Battery BacPac.

With no indication at the time that Xiaomi intends to manufacture tiered cameras like GoPro, it seems that the Chinese company believes that most do not want or need or are not willing to pay for such accessories.

The Xiaomi Yi Action, as also mentioned in one of the reviews, is not intended to compete with GoPro's flagship models. While, Xiaomi is capable of offering such an impressive camera but doesn't offer more cutting-edge (4K) features and mostly unnecessary things like optional displays and batteries.

Battery. The Xiaomi has a 1010mAh battery, compared to 900mAh from the SJ4000 and 1160mAh from the 4 GoPro, putting it comfortably in the middle. An optional battery pack would be a welcome addition to longer releases, but this battery should be fine for most applications and is a small price to pay in order to pay a small price (the camera).

One of the main reasons that GoPro became so popular was that the company offers a plethora of mounts and accessories. The company took off thanks to the camera, being able to go almost anywhere and almost no cinema. Most low-tech accessories are compatible with the SJ4000 and so are some of the more advanced. There are also plenty of cheap / knock off accessories, making these cameras even easier and cheaper to use.

Lower prices and a variety of cheap SJ4000 mounts and accessories than the GoPro and unlike the GoPro 4 Silver edition, the SJ4000 and the GoPro 4 black with the optional BacPac touch LCD, the Xiaomi Yi Action, does not have a built-in display and can't have one connected to it (no port extension, remember?). This means that the only way to see what the camera 'sees' is by connecting to your smartphone through the dedicated application.

The three buttons on the camera appear to be used only to turn the camera on / off, record start / stop, and to enable / disable WiFi.
