Xperia z3 and z4: see the differences
Table of contents:
The Xperia Z4 was finally unveiled, after Sony delayed the smartphone at the MWC in March 2015. The successor to the Xperia Z3 comes with a new processor and front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. This is not the only time that Sony has been radicalized. The Xperia Z4 brings the same design pattern presented with the Xperia Z, released in January 2013. The use of a visual guide is common among manufacturers, Microsoft and Apple do that. But fans of the Japanese brand will have a smartphone with the face of a "new".
Side by side with the Xperia Z3, the main change of the Z4 is the front speakers of the device have been moved to the edges, as it was in Z2. Other than that, the device is slimmer, at 6.9mm vs. 7.3mm from the Z3 and eight grams lighter, the 144g and its 152g predecessor.
screen
Another unchanged point of the Z4: the device continues with the same 5.2-inch Triluminous screen with Full HD resolution (1080p) and 423 ppi density of the Z3. That is, there is no difference between buying one or the other device if consumers are concerned about the screen. Sony's decision also goes against the adoption of the QHD (1440p) screen by other manufacturers.
performance
Finally, the great leap of the Xperia Z4 is in the processor. The new top of the line Sony brings a Snapdragon 810 chip with 64-bit architecture and eight processing cores, with four being 2 GHz and 1.5 GHz 4. The Z3, on the other hand, comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 801-architecture processor 32 bit and 2.5 GHz.
In other words, the expectation is that the Xperia Z4 has a lot more processing power than the Z3, especially in games with next-gen graphics. The new processors promise they still work better with 4K ultra-high-resolution videos, though the screen resolution hasn't quite gotten this.
Battery
Contrary to expectations, the Xperia Z4 improved in number compared to the Z3. The battery went from 3, 100 mAh to 2, 900 mAh in the new generation. This, however, does not mean a reduction in the useful life of the apparatus. Processors and possible improvements from the manufacturer of the system can increase the time of use of the smartphone, which is what matters in the end.
Camera
The Xperia Z4 will be the best option for those who like selfies. The device won a 5 megapixel front camera with wide angle lenses for your stay and better selfies framing all your friends. The Z3, the sensor was simpler and only with 2.2 megapixels.
The rear camera remains the same for another generation: G lenses with 20.7 megapixel resolution, LED flash, and HDR photo support. For videos, it continues to support 4K (2160P full) recordings and HD (720) slow motion recording, without optical image stabilization (OIS).
Price and availability
The Xperia Z4 had the announced launch for Japan only, for now. The expectation, however, is that it will reach other markets around the world starting in May, with an undisclosed price. The Xperia Z3, on the other hand, is already available in Spain and can be found from 450 euros in online stores.
WE RECOMMEND YOU New Moto Z Play is on the way, featuresconclusion
The Xperia Z4 is yet another Sony hardware upgrade over the one-line Z3 that has been revamped. In other words, if you have the Z3 or even the Z2, the change tends to be almost imperceptible in everyday life, except if you need a lot of energy and processing that will meet the ancients.Looking on the bright side, the arrival of the Z4 degrade the older models, which aren't much shorter. That is, you will find the Z3 and Z2, soon, with the most attractive prices than those offered today.
