Productivity applications focused on task management abound under various modalities in both the Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS. Among them is Google Tasks , a simple tool, if not simple, that allows you to create and manage tasks and now has a new option that is very difficult to understand that was not yet present: the creation and management of recurring tasks.

Recurring tasks with Google Tasks

In our current way of life, it is quite common for us to repeat certain tasks every day, every week, every month, or on certain days of the week. These are the recurring tasks that Google Tasks can now create and manage. Thus, you will no longer have to recreate the same task every Monday, it will be enough to generate it only once and schedule it for every Monday.

This Google tool has recently added two new options that will facilitate the management of our day-to-day tasks. For one, users can now determine when a task begins, setting both the day and the exact start time. On the other hand, you can also define how often this task is repeated.

Pressing the “Repeat” button that you can see in the upper left image, a new pop-up window will open (upper right image) that gives you a wide range of options. For example, you can set the task to repeat every X weeks or months, and to do it on certain days of the week. Should you submit a report every two weeks? Set this task to repeat every other week on Mondays.

In this way you will receive a notification on the established day and time so that you do not forget your task. And when you have completed it, it will reappear in the future, without you having to do anything else. As I said, it is hard to believe that this function, present in dozens of similar services for years, was not yet in Google Tasks.
