All about the new Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 710 processors, the new kings of Qualcomm's mid-range

The most interesting of both is the Snapdragon 730, which will arrive manufactured by Samsung under its advanced process at 8 nm LPP, which will allow it to offer the best energy efficiency as well as great performance. The Snapdragon 730 is an eight-core processor based on the Kryo 400 architecture, two of which will reach a frequency of 2.3 GHz, while the other six conform to 1.8 GHz for greater energy efficiency. These cores are accompanied by the NPU 120 to handle artificial intelligence and deep learning of the device, it is clear that Qualcomm has put emphasis on these characteristics.

The characteristics of the Snapdragon 730 continue with the Adreno 615 graphics at a speed of 750 MHz, these are capable of offering a maximum resolution of 3040 x 1440 pixels at 60 FPS with HDR10 support. Also included is an LPDDR4X RAM memory controller capable of supporting a Dual Chanel 1866 MHz configuration, support for up to three 32 MP cameras, and WiFi 802.11ac + Bluetooth 5.0.

We go down one step and we find the Snapdragon 710, which maintains the same number of cores, but is based on the less powerful Kryo 300 architecture. In this case, the two fastest cores reach 2.2 GHz, while the rest remain at 1.7 GHz. The rest of the features remain, except for the NPU 120. Both can work with eMMC and UFS storage.
