Zotac is updating its famous miniPC ZBOX, ultra- portable, high-power computers in a tiny size.

Zotac ZBOX, more power and less consumption with Kaby Lake

Zotac seems to take the most logical step and is upgrading to the new Intel processor architecture, just released by Kaby Lake. Therefore, the new ZBOX will make use of these new chips, which will ensure greater power and more moderate energy consumption, something that is appreciated considering the dimensions of this PC and the graphics card it has in its inside.

The most interesting model is the ZBOX MAGNUS EN1070K, the evolution of the EN 1070, which will have at its core an Intel Core i5 7500T 'Kaby Lake' processor (replaces the Intel Core i5-6400T), has 32GB of DDR4 RAM and dual drive customizable storage for a 2.5-inch hard drive or solid state drive, plus a top performing M.2 to PCIe 3.0 x4 drive.

Zotac continues betting on the GeForce GTX 1070

The card will again be the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB GDDR5), which provides capable graphics power with any current video game. The ZBOX's cooling system is interesting, capable of keeping the interior of a box that only measures 210 x 205 x 63 mm cool.

As for connectivity, we do not see significant changes, with dual Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi ac, SDXC memory card reader, 7.1 audio, USB ports including Thunderbolt to USB Type-C, USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0, in addition Dual HDMI 2.0 and Display Port 1.3 outputs.

Zotac has not revealed its price but it should not be very different from the 1500 dollars that the previous model already cost.
