Zotac announced in early January the GTX 1080 mini, the smallest in the world so far. Now we finally have real (non-promotional) images of this graphics card, which confirms that it really is the smallest in the world for this high-performance model.

First real images of the GTX 1080 mini

The Zotac GTX 1080 mini is only 20 centimeters long, which makes it special to be placed in computers or small towers. The most surprising thing is that the graphic could be even smaller, since the PCB is shorter than the double cooler cooling system, which must be really good to keep such a bug cool in small dimensions.

At the specification level, what we had previously commented in ProfessionalReview is confirmed. The Pascal GP102 chip running at 1632 MHz base and 1771 MHz turbo, compared to 1607 MHz and 1733 MHz which are the default frequencies of the normal GTX 1080. The amount of memory is 8GB GDDR5X running at 10GHz. Also included in this card are three DisplayPort 1.4 ports, an HDMI 2.0b and a DVI-D port. The graphics card is very well prepared to deliver 4K resolutions and beyond.

As for the cooling system, the two included fans are 100mm and an LED lighting is also included in the Zotac logo. GTX 1080 mini occupies two expansion slots, as can be clearly seen in the screenshots.

At the moment, we still do not know its price, although it should not be much more expensive than a normal GTX 1080.
