Edge Dev now allows you to choose with which profile we access web pages in the latest update that you can now download

Microsoft has brought Edge on the Dev Channel to a new version. Edge Dev can now be downloaded in version 99.0.1131.3 and among all the new features one stands out: the ability to manually set with which profile the different web pages are opened

A change available for Edge Dev on Windows but not on MacOS and to which are added others related to password management or opening linksin a new context menu. Along with these additions come bug fixes and performance improvements.

News and improvements

If you install Edge Dev you will now have the ability to manually set with which profile web pages are opened. You can configure it by typing this path in the navigation bar: edge://settings/profiles/multiProfileSettings

It is also easier to manage passwords from the browser itself, because now you can edit saved passwords from the dialog box initial.

They have also enabled a new option in the context menu to open links in new Application Guard windows when Application Guard is available. Along with these improvements come other minor changes and bug fixes.

• Added information to the Edge Bar settings page that informs users which extensions they have installed that prevent the use of Edge Bar.
• Created and added an admin policy to control whether address bar editing is enabled.
• Add support on mobile devices to disable autocomplete via admin policy.

• Fixed a crash that occurred when navigating to certain websites.
• Fix a crash when navigating through the address bar interaction.
• Fixed a crash when interacting with the address bar dropdown menu.
• A crash when choosing where to download files has been fixed.
• Fix a crash when sending comments from InPrivate or Guest windows.
• Fixed a bug when displaying autocomplete popups.
• Fix a crash when interacting with misspelled words that have been identified by the spell checker.
• Reduced the amount of white pages downloaded when scrolling through PDF files.

• Improved blocking of malicious URLs that are manually sent to the browser during startup.
• Improved home page performance by pre-rendering it where possible.
• Fixed an issue where the System and Performance settings page was sometimes blank.

Remember that this version already shows the improvements that have previously been tested within the Canary Channel You can now download the new Edge in this link on any of the channels on the platforms on which it is available. If you already have it installed, just go to preferences within the browser and check if you have any pending updates.
