Android nougat is on 1.2 out of 100 devices

Bad figures for Nougat 6 months after its launch, because although it is hard to believe, only 1.2 out of 100 devices currently have Android Nougat installed. Basically, they are the Nexus 6, 6P, 5X, Pixel and some Xperia. There are other terminals that are also testing Nougat, such as the Galaxy S7 without going any further. Other terminals will be about to receive this version of Android, but for some things or others, the version is delaying more than the account.
Nougat's share in February is 1.2%
But the latest figures we have are clear. Android Nougat is on 1.2 out of 100 devices. It's ridiculous! We could say that only 1 in 100 mobiles have Nougat right now, in February 2017.
These figures are very low considering that we are dealing with a version of Android that has been on the market for 6 months. Fragmentation issues are not ending at all.
As for the other versions, we see that currently Lollipop and Marshmallow are very close. Lollipop has 32.9% market share. On the other hand, Marshmallow 30.7%. KitKat is less and less logically having a 21.9% share, but at the moment we no longer recommend having a version other than Marshmallow, for security and flexibility in managing permissions.
If you can upgrade to a higher version, do so now.
Is it a good time to upgrade to Nougat?
Android Nougat continues to give problems on devices. Nexus are still experiencing battery issues (and other bugs). But the worst thing that it takes, is that the battery lasts less than with Marshmallow. It is worrying considering that 6 months have passed since its launch, if we take into account, we see that the final version of Android Nougat was released on August 22, 2016.
But right now, as of February 2017, Nougat is only on 1.2% of devices. Bad news!
