The small size ultrabooks come in handy for use on long travel seasons and even for daily use, and more if it has a design as beautiful as the Xiaomi Air 12. As it is a laptop that has been on the market for a short time, there are very few compatible accessories for him and his 13.3-inch brother. For this reason and to save you a lot of time I bring you the recommended accessories for the Xiaomi Air.

Xiaomi Air Accessories 12.5 ″ and 13 ″ recommended

. The first accessories I recommend is an additional charger to the one that comes with the laptop. In my case, the original has an English plug and it is impractical to always go with a European adapter (the one we use in Spain), especially when we plug it into the wall instead of a power strip, which is somewhat loose.

36W Power Charger

Before the laptop arrived, choose to buy (after a good while reading online) the RAVPower USB with USB Type C connection with a power of 36W, which is more than enough for this laptop and in black it comes out cheap: 15.99 euros. Another of its benefits is the incorporation of a second connector, this time of normal USB type that we can recharge our smartphone or powerbanks at the same time.

And no, I do not recommend using any powerbank to recharge the laptop, there are hardly any compatible models and they would take long hours.

2 meter USB Type C cable

The second acquisition was to buy a two meter Type C USB cable. The one with the original is attached to the charger and I wanted to cover my back in any situation. I chose CHOETECH after reading very good comments on Amazon. It is not the highest quality cable I have seen for what it is worth: 7.99 euros has been a success.

Keyboard stickers

One of the drawbacks of these two laptops is that their keyboard is QWERTY but its distribution is English, that is, it does not include the Ñ from Spain. This is not a problem, because if we install Windows 10 we will automatically have the keyboard in Spanish, although there is a trick that I will teach you later to change the keyboard (in the review I talk about it above).

I have seen some users use these stickers, although it breaks the aesthetics somewhat, they are transparent and allow us to leave the keyboard to our liking and even map it according to our needs. I will not put my laptop , since I write without looking and I know the shortcuts for having a similar laptop many years ago.

12.5 inch laptop sleeve.

Choosing a good protective or transport case is without a doubt one of the most complex issues if we buy it online. For the 12.5-inch laptop I have written down this Caison briefcase that has such a good design. There are many colors: gray (the one in the photo), purple, black, purple, blue, lime green, orange and pink. It has a velvety interior protection and it has several pockets that will allow us to store USB sticks or the main accessories. Its price is not expensive, only 16.99 euros. In physical stores something similar can cost us about 20 or 30 euros.

Xiaomi Air keyboard protector

Classic protector that I have seen in many Apple Macbooks. As you know, it protects the keyboard and they are transparent. As always I avoid eating in front of my PC and / or laptop, I don't see it as a 100% recommended purchase in my case. But if you are used to it, there is not much more alternative. Its price is about 5.50 euros in Chinese stores such as aliexpress .

USB 3.0 hub

Finally my recommendation of USB HUB with Gigabit Ethernet connection of the Aukey brand. I wanted an all-in-one that had a cardholder for an SD and microSD card, that was silver in color (like the laptop), had many USB connectors and was a USB Type-C cable. There is, but it is too expensive (almost 90 euros…) and I do not think it is a recommended option for this price.

The cheapest option is the Aukey CB-H32-ES-P with three USB 3.0 connectors and a RJ45 Gigabit network socket . With this HUB I kill two birds with one stone and so I don't use the Type C connection as much (I will limit it to charging only the laptop). Its price is more justified and now with a discount it is at 19.99 euros.
