Acer presented today, at the next @ acer press event held in New York, its new line of Predator Helios 300 gaming laptops. Equipped with 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch displays, its matte black chassis incorporates nice shades of red, providing a fun, edgy design. Available with Windows 10, it offers powerful features and functionality at mid-range prices, making gaming laptops more accessible than ever.

At the heart of the Predator Helios 300 is an NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 or 1050Ti GPU with overclocking capability combined with a 7th generation Intel® Core i7 (7700HQ) processor or i5 (7300HQ) that ensure exceptional performance. This processing capacity is supported by up to 16GB of DDR4 memory (upgradeable to 32GB), a SATA SSD1 speed and a 1TB HDD1. Access compartment doors on the underside of notebooks make it easy to upgrade memory and storage components.
Predator Helios 300 also includes a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port (with USB power off), two USB 2.0 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 connection. It connects wirelessly through fast 2 × 2 802.11ac technology, and also includes a Gigabit Ethernet port for those who prefer a wired connection.
Designed to be an entertainment hub, the Predator Helios 300 line of laptops is ideal for enjoying video games and watching movies. Brilliant 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch FHD IPS displays deliver vibrant, sharp images, while its Dolby Audio ™ Premium and Acer TrueHarmony ™ deliver immersive audio with crisp, nuanced acoustics. In addition, it incorporates Skype for Business certification, which ensures that conversations are clear and without delays, while providing a great voice experience with Cortana.
For a smooth gaming experience, it features a dual-vent system with an ultra-thin sheet metal AeroBlade ™ 3D Fan2, which keeps the notebook running at optimal temperatures. Preloaded PredatorSense software provides real-time information about the system and overclocking, so players can control and monitor vital system conditions from a central interface.
Price and availability
Predator Helios 300 (with either a 15.6-inch screen or a 17.3-inch screen) will be available in Spain from November with a price yet to be confirmed.
