Acer Aspire Z 24, designed for home with Alexa voice assistant

The all-in-one Aspire Z 24 has been created with the home and connectivity in mind, and seeks to offer the best possible experience in office, multimedia and casual gaming tasks. Its ultra-thin design seeks to become one more aesthetic element of the living room, at just 11mm thick.

The most important peculiarity of the new model is the support of Amazon Alexa and Cortana voice assistants, and the inclusion of a microphone designed to capture voice over long distances, seeking to serve as an effective digital assistant for the home.

Regarding power, we have 8th generation Intel processors, predictably up to 4 or 6 core laptop models. Storage includes 32GB Optane and the graphics will be the NVIDIA GeForce MX150, so it can effectively be played casually. We finish with the 23.8 ″ Full HD IPS screen at 1080 resolution.

Let's go with the laptops: Acer Aspire 7, high performance in a lightweight design

The new Aspire 7 will be a very capable team in gaming, since it integrates the Intel Core i7–8705G and i5-8305G processors with integrated Radeon X Vega M GL graphics with 4GB HBM2 memory, which can reach the performance of a GTX 1060 in a very efficient way and allowing to maintain a light body. The CPU, GPU and HBM2 memory are integrated on the same chip. In addition to this, you can choose screens up to UHD resolution, up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe SSD storage.

Acer Aspire 5: practical and full of functions for multimedia use

This laptop focuses more on aesthetics and mobility than power. Regarding the first two aspects, its design practically lacks frames on the 15.6 ″ IPS Full HD screen, and it has a light aluminum design. Despite not focusing on power, it's not badly equipped with 8th Gen Intel Core processors and some setups with an NVIDIA Geforce MX150 graphics card.

Acer Aspire 3: the low-cost series for basic uses

These will be the most basic notebooks in the product line, and it seems that they will not be equipped with the 8th generation of Intel processors, so we will probably find much more basic Atom, Pentium or Celeron models. There are no mentions about IPS screens either, so given the small price difference with the Aspire 5, its older brother will be worth more.

Refurbished Acer Aspire laptops: price and availability

The all-in-one series Aspire Z 24 will be available in Europe in October, at a starting price of 900 euros. Regarding laptops, the Aspire 5 will be on the market in December at an initial price of 549 euros (always talking about base configurations), and the Aspire 3 at 399 euros. There is no mention of the top model.

Acer also plans to expand Alexa support to more products.
