Acer spin 3 and 5, the first laptops with amazon alexa

Acer today announced that several of its most famous Windows 10 laptops will be the first in the industry to offer pre-installed Alexa , including the Acer Spin 3 and Acer Spin 5, which are already available at retail outlets.

Alexa will also be pre-installed in the Acer Nitro 5 Spin line of convertible gaming laptops next month. It will also be available on select Aspire , Switch, and Swift laptops, as well as Aspire all-in-one PCs as they roll out to the manufacturer's business partners in the coming weeks.

The first Acer laptop lines to receive the update will be the Acer Spin 5 and Spin 3 convertible families on May 23 and 26, respectively. This can be done through the Acer Care Center.

Acer customers can use their Alexa-compatible Acer laptops and desktops to do more through voice control. For example, customers can ask Alexa to check the weather, make a calendar entry, create lists, answer questions, or play favorite music, podcasts, or audiobooks. Users can also ask Alexa to manage smart devices at home, including lighting, thermostats, and appliances, all with voice.

The Acer Spin 5 is probably best suited with its Acer Purified Voice technology and the four digital microphones that support far-field voice recognition. Other Acer notebooks feature dual microphones that support near-field speech recognition. All compatible convertible and 2-in-1 laptops come with front speakers and provide an immersive audio experience.
