The Acer Triton 700 comes perfectly accommodated in a large cardboard box, it has a colorful and high-quality design, thus denoting that we are dealing with a high-end product. The Acer Triton 700 It is a notebook with a very compact size for the characteristics of a high-performance notebook and, above all, a very thin one (18.9 mm). Another feature to highlight is its weight, which is around 2.39 kg, which is quite good?

We now turn to see its screen, it reaches a diagonal of 15.6 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels to offer the best balance between image quality and performance in video games. Acer Triton 700 is a laptop with a very compact design for everything that is included inside, this has been possible thanks to its renewed and advanced cooling system that we will talk about later. Acer has made the most of all the available space, for this the touchpad has been moved to the upper area instead of being under the keyboard as usual.

It has even gone further, as this touchpad consists of a touch pad that also serves to display information about the cooling system, without a doubt, this is really taking advantage of space! ? Although our experience with it has been good, the glass does not slide as well as it does on a plastic touchpad because it gets dirty as fast as on the touch screens of smartphones that we all have. Its location in the upper area of the base is not very ergonomic and personally, it has taken me a little longer than usual to get used to it.

Thanks to the powerful AeroBlade 3D cooling system, the Acer Triton 700 mounts a GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q graphics card inside, this tagline tells us that we are dealing with a special version of the GTX 1080 with better energy efficiency. Its core runs at a speed of 1, 290 MHz to deliver sensational performance with a TDP of just 110W. Of course the 8 GB of GDDR5X memory with a 256-bit interface are maintained.

The central axis of this Acer Triton 700 is the advanced AeroBlade 3D cooling system, this has been designed to offer great dissipation efficiency, something that is essential in a laptop because of the little space that is available inside. This system uses a gradual ventilation mechanism that optimizes air flow.

The fan blades have been reduced in thickness to be able to fit a greater number of them, this serves to generate a greater air flow. All the optimizations that Acer has introduced offer a 25% higher air flow compared to its predecessor, this translates into nothing less than almost 74 liters of air per minute.

The keyboard for its part is mechanical, something that will be highly appreciated by the most demanding users since the experience of use will be infinitely better than in the case of a membrane keyboard. Low-profile switches have been used to enable the implementation of a mechanical keyboard on a compact computer. We advise that it is clicky style, so some users may not like it, but it is a pleasure to play with it.

We continue with the connectivity of the equipment, the manufacturer has included a Killer Wireless-AC 1535 2 × 2 chip with support for the WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 standard. This chip has a peculiarity, and that is that it allows you to take advantage of the combined bandwidth of wireless connectivity and wired connectivity through the Gigabit Ethernet port to improve speed, this is what is known as DoubleShot Pro technology.

Software and performance tests

At Cinebench R15 we have obtained a result of 704 cb. A result we had hoped for by having one of Intel's flagships in the notebook series.

While to test the performance of M.2 SSDs we have used the classic Crystal Disk Mark. Finally, you can see the performance it has offered us playing. It has been a joy for us to try this laptop.

Acer has been doing things very well for a few years! One of the great improvements is the incorporation of an "all in one" software such as the Acer PredatorSense. The Acer Triton 700 is one of the best gaming notebook that we have tried. It has all the ingredients to succeed: a brutal design, super fine to carry very high-end hardware, a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS (tremendous viewing angles) screen and an Nvidia MAX-Q graphics card.

Our in-game tests have been really good! The Nvidia GTX 1080 + 7700HQ have been more than compliant? In addition, with very good temperatures. The great reason for these very contained temperatures is due to the AeroBlade 3D cooling system: 32º C at rest / 78º at full processor, while the graphics card is positioned at 31ºC at rest and 69 ºC at maximum power with the profile standard. In other words, it can be summed up in efficiency and low loudness to be a Gamer laptop. Great work from Acer!

We liked the touchpad... but it tends to get dirty because it is made of glass . As the finger is prone to being quite "greasy" we have to clean the surface every so often. The concept is good, but personally it took me a while to get used to it, especially since it is located in the upper area.

Its recommended price for the public (RRP) in Spain ranges from 2299 euros in its version with GTX 1060. We believe that it can have quite a few sales due to its portability, power and construction materials.
