Today we present to you the ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G ! They are high-profile DDR4 memories with a very avant-garde design, pleasant RGB lighting throughout their body and we can buy it in different capacities and speeds. In our case we have the 16 GB kit with a frequency of 3000 MHz.

Will it be at the heights of other memory makers? Do not miss our review! Let's start!

We appreciate the trust of ADATA XPG for the transfer of the product for analysis:

Unboxing and design

ADATA XPG has us accustomed to outstanding presentations and this time it was not going to be any different. The ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G arrive in a cardboard box where the color of the RGB system of the RAM modules predominates.

This packaging gives us a small advance that it is a 16 GB kit and that it is compatible with the lighting systems of ASUS, MSI, ASRock and AORUS.

On the back we have a brief explanation of the product in different languages and a small QR code that takes us directly to the product landing.

Once we open the box we find two ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G modules . Each module has a size of 8GB, that if we install it on our computer, we will have a total of 16 GB of RAM.

Its serial speeds for the Intel platform is 3, 000 Mhz and have a guaranteed latency of CL16 (16-18-18). We missed ADATA sending us faster memories, since we can currently see available: 3, 000, 3, 200, 3, 600 and 4, 133 MHz. But these frequencies are already great for gaming use.

It is the first time that we have tested XPG memories in our test bench. But XPG is always characterized by having one of the best builds and great performance. In this case, it combines both features and a high-profile design that improves cooling. For this reason, you must be careful when choosing a compatible heatsink.

This RGB design is highly demanded by gamer users and XPG knows that with such an attractive touch it will have many sales. The good thing about these memories is their maximum compatibility with the software of the 4 main motherboard manufacturers: ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte / Aorus and ASRock. We leave you a couple of images of how it looks:

The heatsink is made of plastic and has an aluminum structure that serves as a heatsink that reminds us of diamond cuts.

ADATA XPG takes chest, since they are the memories with more RGB lighting per mm2, to be exact 9, 497mm2 to be exact. The lighting is 100% programmable via software.

As expected, it has the Intel XMP 2.0 certification that makes it compatible at maximum frequencies on Intel platforms: LGA 1151 and LGA 2066. Although ADATA does not confirm its 100% compatibility with the AM4 platform.

We have used a top of the range Z390 motherboard and an i9-9900K processor that is already a classic for many months in our test bench. All results have been passed with the 3, 000 MHz profile and the applied voltage of 1.35V on Dual Channel. Let's go see them!

As we can see the results stock vs active XMP profile are more than remarkable. I always recommend my readers to activate this profile, since we can get an extra from our PC by touching three options in the BIOS. Very good performance by this ADATA XPG DDR4 kit.

software

As we have previously commented, we can synchronize our lighting with the proprietary software of our motherboard. But if we want we can install the original ADATA XPG software to test the benefits it presents. They already tell us from the manufacturer's website that it is in a BETA version.

The application is simple and allows us to customize the memories with different profiles: Wave, Rainbow, static, go to the rhythm of the music, turn off the lights or many more options.

Final words and conclusion about ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G

We really liked the ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G memories. This kit consists of two modules of 8 GB each in DDR4 format, a speed of 3, 000 MHz and a latency of CL16-18-18.

Although one of the aspects to highlight is the diamond-shaped design of the memories and its RGB lighting system of 16.8 million colors. Almost his entire body lights up! But if you don't like RGB, you have other options on the market or you can disable its colors via software.

We recommend reading the best RAM memory on the market

The application seems intuitive but not modern at all. In 4K resolution its scaling is bad and it seems to me a point to improve. Although do not worry, it is compatible with Asus, MSI or Aorus software for example. Which are much better optimized.

Its price ranges around 123 euros for this exact molding. Although if we are climbing speed the price increases considerably. For example, the 3200 MHz kit amounts to 177 euros. We think it has a good price, but they are not the cheapest either. What do you think of the ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D60G ?
