Algebird launches a kit to install an ssd on macbook pro
The Austrian manufacturer Algebird has released a kit to install an SSD in Apple Macbook Pro taking advantage of the bay of the superdrive for this purpose.
The new wrk SSD Kit contains everything you need to install an SSD device in the Macbook Pro bay intended to house a superdrive. The bundle includes an adapter to be able to install the SSD in the Superdrive bay, a casing to be able to use the superdrive unit that we remove externally, two precision screwdrivers, a punch-hook and a very complete step-by-step guide for installation of all components.
The Kit is available with options that include SSDs with capacities of 120, 240 and 512 GB with SATA III 6GB / s interface. The Kit SSDs have theoretical random read / write speeds of up to 563 MB / s and 450 MB / s respectively and up to 72, 000 IOPS. They also have an access time of only 0.1 ms. These Angelbird SSDs make use of the proprietary 2246EN controller.
These upgrade kits are already available on the Angelbird website at prices of 149.90 euros for the 128GB model, 209.90 euros with the 256GB SSD and 349.90 euros for the 512GB model.
