AMD has released a new version of its new controller for blockchain handling via Radeon graphics cards, with support for the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition and R-series GPUs. This new controller is not intended for loads produced during gaming, but provides additional stability and performance for Blockchain Compute workloads, that is, it is optimized exclusively for cryptocurrency mining.

The new recently released controller is not optimized for gaming, but it provides performance and increased stability to the Blockchain Compute, giving Radeon GPUs the possibility to offer higher performance during cryptocurrency mining, especially when it comes to the AMD Vega series..

According to tests conducted by Legit Reviews using AMD's original blockchain driver, higher hash rate performance for large DAG sizes can be seen with the new driver, as well as improved overall performance on AMD RX Vega. Of course, energy consumption may increase a little, although it is worth it given the higher performance in cryptocurrency mining.
