Radeon RX 500X is announced with five models - RX 580X, 570X, 560X, 550X and 540X
The AMD Radeon 500X series is announced and we have the complete specifications. It should be noted that not a single MHz has been increased in the 500X series compared to the current RX 500, except for a single graphics card: the RX 550X. This model has seen an increase in clock speeds, ranging from 1183 MHz on the RX 550, to up to 1287 MHz on the RX 550X. Apart from that, not much more is being seen.
For example, the RX 580X still has 36 compute units, 2304 Stream Proccesors, 144 texture units, 32 ROPs, and 5.7 billion transistors. All this with the same frequencies.

This may be disappointing as substantive changes were expected within the Polaris architecture, but it appears that this has peaked in the RX 500 series. In summary, we should not expect any significant performance difference between the more powerful RX500 models. and RX500X. So what's the point of this release beyond a name change? It is difficult to answer.
