In the last hours, a new model of Wraith Prism refrigerators emerged that had 6 heat pipes. At the time they seemed very real, although they were never officially announced by AMD. Finally, the company has come to deny the launch of a new updated model of its standard refrigerator for Ryzen.

Wraith Prism 6 Heat Pipes are not manufactured by AMD

Whoever is making these fake Wraith Prism coolers obviously has decent production capacity: The two additional heat pipes are perfectly implemented in AMD's original design. The cooler looks very elaborate, so it probably didn't come out of a random user, but most plants that work with copper tubes and steam plates could probably produce such a cooler. In any case, copper heat pipes are not easy to do - this is, of course, assuming they are functional and not just there for the hoax.

Although consumers may be tempted to use this unofficial refrigerator, AMD advises against doing so because the refrigerator has not been tested or validated. It is also not known whether the fake refrigerator uses heat pipes with a steam chamber. If the heat pipes are not manufactured correctly, the refrigerant could leak from the heat pipes into the hardware.

Cooler Master manufactures the Wraith Prism coolers for AMD. At the moment, this manufacturer has not commented on this new model.
