Amd to fire 710 employees
Today we announce a sad news, AMD will proceed to dismiss 710 employees before the end of the year and therefore 710 people will be left without their jobs.
AMD's accounts are not doing well, in the last quarter the company had revenues of $ 1.43 billion compared to $ 1.47 billion that Wall Street forecast. These revenues represent an annual fall of 2% and net profits of 17 million.
The culprit for this drop appears to be the computing and graphics division, which has experienced a 6% drop quarter over quarter. On the other hand, the professional division that deals with integrated and custom chips has grown 6% thanks to the entry of AMD on PS4 and Xbox One.
From Professional Review we wish AMD good luck in the future and hope that it can overcome the economic crisis it is going through.
