AMD has just announced a new high performance AMD FirePro S9300 X2 graphics card but this time it is not focused on home users but on the market for large servers.

The AMD FirePro S9300 X2 is shown as the most powerful card in simple calculation power thanks to its two AMD Fiji GPUs that add a total of 8192 Stream Processors at a working frequency of 850 MHz along with a not inconsiderable 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) of HBM stacked memory at a frequency of 500 MHz with 4, 096-bit interface.

With these specifications the AMD FirePro S9300 X2 is able to offer a single precision FP32 calculation power of 13.8 TFLOPS and a FP64 double precision calculation performance of 0.8 TFLOPsB. Its consumption is only 300W which allows the AMD FirePro S9300 X2 to be passively cooled for completely silent operation.

The AMD FirePro S9300 X2 is more than twice as powerful as its predecessor the FirePro S9170 (Hawaii) in single-precision PF32, although its power in dual-precision FP64 is considerably less.
